Fishing report 9-6-08        Saturday September 6, 2008

Enter Report Here Well Labor Day Weekend is gone, the kids are in school, and town is REALLY quiet. But the fishing just keeps getting better. Water temps are in the upper 60s and falling. These last series of cold fronts has cooled the lakes off. Musky fishing has been very good. Fish have been active on the deep weeedlines as well as the deeper rock bars. Bucktails such as O.B. Tails, Mepps, Buchertails have been taking fish. Rubber baits such as Bull Dogs and Big Joes really shine this time of year. With the falling water temps, sucker fishing for Musky is right around the corner. I cant wait! Walleye - The walleyes are starting to bite a lot better with the falling water temps. Some fish are still being caught on the weed edges but many more are coming from the deeper rock humps. Minnow are starting to out produce the crawlers, and soon it will be all minnows. Fish the rocks in the 15-35 ft. and the weeds in the 12-15 foot range. Obviously all lakes are different and this is just a guideline. Well conditions are changing weekly, so I will try to post reports more frequently. Fall fishing is just around the corner. Come on up and enjoy everything we have to offer in Boulder Junction.
