Fishing Report Archives Opening Week of Walleye Fishing Friday May 9, 2008 Enter Report Here Well the first week of the gamefish season is under our belts. All the area lake are ice free. The water temps are at about 45-50 degrees on the smaller, darker lakes and about 41-46 degrees on our deeper, clear lakes. Fishing has been great, with lots of walleyes caught. Most fish are your 12-17 inch males, which are very aggressive this time of year. But some big fish have been caught also. On some lakes the fish are not yet done spawning. This will soon be over with the forecasted warm temps next week. Lakes that have been producing for me have been Boulder, Fishtrap, Wildcat, Trout, and the Cisco Chain. Look forward to hearing from you! Rip Some Lips! Tom Whitman |
